pepin1234 hat geschrieben:Cuba has many possibilities for Latin America. Only exist a country in America that can be the gateway for MZ, in a more dynamic way. Making a projection of low cost models and high quality. The success is guaranteed. Is possible think in the near future of the assembly models for sale in Europe. It's really good idea.

The facelift of the ETZ 251 in Turkey did not Work. It was not succesful in western europe.
The production line works not for long.
And now another makeup/facelift of these 23 year old construction should became a Bestseller?

Uns fragt ja keiner.

pepin1234 hat geschrieben:forget the ETZ 251. I am talking about some modells robust, cheaps and with a not old technology. Why not say a 2 stroke motor with new improvements. Thats is a really hard idea here in Germany but not in poors Countries.

Wer soll das dort machen. Modellbau, Gießerei, Werkzeugbau, Elektrik u.s.w.
Wer soll das finanzieren? Arni?

Der kalte Krieg ist ja Gott sei Dank vorbei.

Sorry , but a complete new, cheap an robust Modell in a new factory in Cuba is only wishfull thinking.
Extremely cheap Motorcycles in big numbers are delivered frome chinese factories, worldwide.
Maybe in poor quality today, but the chinese will learn. And they learn quick, when necessary.
ea2873 hat geschrieben:I am afraid most people in Cuba will buy cheap (=Chinese) motorcycles as soon as they have convertible currency. You can love MZ, but not many people will pay 2x as much as for a chinese bike. For example have a look at Russia, in the beginning they wanted to buy the factory for Barkas "trucks", in the end everything ended in the melter.

To be honest.
1º- The people in Cuba have money to buy a motorcycle for example of 3500 euros.
2º- If the cuban buy chinese motorcycle, that is because the goverment dont sale any other brand. So the people there dont really like the chinese motorcycle.
The MZ made in Cuba, or assembled in Cuba is not just for Cuba. Can became on sale for all America. minus USA.

Believe me for the cuban buy a MZ. They dont need your opinion. So for the cuban and the countries of Latin America, the really important thing is get a cheap motorcycle, robust and easy to repair. The 2 stroke motor have a better performance of 4 stroke. So the life of a 2 stroke machine cant stop because Angela Merkel like. So the money that will get MZ in America, minus your money= -1 . MZ have more future in America and will get more money than in Germany.
1ª- The MZ company lost the principal market after 1990. Also the same situation with the ex DDR Firms. The ex DDR people destroyed one of the most important industrial system. A lot of people still ask themselves where are the Practika Cameras and all the others wonderful products. Tell me why the MZ 1000 S was sold in a ridiculous quantity being a really good machine. While the principal market ( ex DDR lands ) of a legendary Firm keep with the low % employment and all the people here think MZ is a shit, just because was a ex-DDR Firm. Thats is really bad and MZ must locking for others importants Markets. A strategic moving, to the markets of South America is a great Idea.
look at this link in youtube. Is in Argentina and look how the people love the JAWA 2T 350. Sorry MZ is losing the time and money here. Look all the videos of this USER there are a lot of Videos and they dont know the ETZ, soo... what will happen when MZ arrive to Argentina. I am sure will became a Super-Sale
