Hi!

I have an ES superelastik and a TS250/0 which I want to mount together.
I would like all the pictures you can provide, I have got it as a basketcase, so anything is appreciated.

Especially from the brakingsystem.

Thanks!

It's a 76 according to my registrationpapers, it is a /0.
16" inch wheels, speedometer in the headlight etc.

I've seen those pictures before, but I can't see how it actually goes on to the frame, the braking system, I am unable to visualize it. If you know what I mean?

From the brakepedal to the wheel would be optimal, I can't figure out how it is put together, also I don't know if I have all the parts.

Hallo hat hier jemand im Forum ein Foto vom Bremsgestänge einer TS mit Seitenwagen?
Ich kann nur Fotos von einer Solo TS machen.

HI Lasse,
Mayby its not possible to mounth the Sidecar on the frame of your TS-250/0 because the first version of the /0 is not stable enough for Sidecars. I have a TS250/0 from 1973 this Frame is really flexible and not very stable, i never would drive it with Sidecar. The Gable is also not very stable! Do you have the 3 Plugs for the Superelastic Sidecar on your Frame (than its OK)? At least the Version from 1974 is OK for Sidecardriving, but better is a the TS250/1. If you have a Version befor 1974 with the first Frame i would never try it because its very Dangerous!
Please excuse my bad english, i hope yopu can understand and it was helpfull.

Cheers Vinc

How do I determine that? I have an ETZ front fork for it for discbrake. It is one of the last /0's, 1976 from the papers.

This machine has been driving with a sidecar on it for about 25 years until I bought it, I figure it should be fine :)

Hi,

regarding the difference between the early /0´s and the late ones:
The early ones did not have the straight tube rectangular to the driving direction below the front end of the seat.
That tube is necessary to install the upper attachment point for the sidecar - which is nothing but a big bolt with a ball-end.
If you have that tube everything is fine, don´t worry about the stability. :)
For the attachment of the sidecar generally you need these parts:

- upper attachment bolt,
- attachment bracket with the fwd attachment ball
- an axis with a ball-end for the swing arm
- the swing arm with the attachment for the stabiliser.
Not mandatory but recommended:
Steering damper

But I think if that machine has already run as a sidecar machine, everything should be all right.
If you use the ETZ fork with the disc brake:
Either you use the ETZ clamping heads or maybe you will have to use a spacer to center the wheel again
- the TS clamping heads have a different distance between the fork legs.

As the sidecar had been mounted to an ES model before:
Check if the forward attachment strut is the correct one. See also: kb.php?a=124 , there are the different types listed.

Good luck and have fun!
By the way: If you want you could perhaps keep us informed about your project.
And we always do like pictures...

Jan

Yes thats great! The TS from 1976 is OK. With the ETZ Fork its very stable. If it was running as Sidecarmashine for years than really all should be fine! I did not know that it is allready a complete Sidecarbike. I thought that you want du upgrade the Sidecar to a regular TS.....

It doesn't have a sidecar now, it ran an old ACAP sidecar from the 30'es

See the special front frame

Wow, that looks great!
Especially the specialised frame.
And the ETZ engine has got a lot of potential - especially when you install a 300cc cylinder... 8)

I am considering changing the brakesystem to cable operated.
