Hi I am nearing the end of the restoration of a 1992 ETZ 251, and need some advice about the electrics, the picture of the rectifier below is the same as the one fitted to my bike, could anybody please tell me what wires attach to the two connections on the side, I know that lower one is the brown earth wire, but I cannot remember if another wire attached to the top one.......Thank you for your time and help.

Hallo ich bin am Ende der Restaurierung eines 1992 ETZ 251, und brauchen einige Ratschläge über die Elektrik, das Bild des Gleichrichters unten ist die gleiche wie die, die auf mein Fahrrad, könnte jemand bitte sagen Sie mir, was Drähte an die Zwei Anschlüsse auf der Seite, weiß ich, dass die untere ist die braune Erde Draht, aber ich kann mich nicht erinnern, wenn ein anderer Draht an der oberen ....... in the knowledgebaseLothars signature is a book you can download written by him Lothar MZ-Elektrik. Look page 52 Bild B4-3 right. As I understood your asked connection should be D+(30) direct from battery.
Hope this helps. Perhaps somebody here can confirm this.
