Is there a posibility that something in the gearbox is missing and cause of that I can not get the neutral light/switch to work?
Or the replacement neutral switch is faulty?
When the plastic neutral switch breaks due to overtorque, what is the easiest way to remove the rest of it from the engine?
remove the old switch, and look inside the hole at the engine. now you should see the part of the "schaltwalze". the small round metal part at the left of the photo is the contact for the "switch".
http://berni.fmode.de/www/mz/ts250/2009/1004/pic06.jpgthe switch is not a switch, it is only a metal part with a spring, so you can measure resistance which should be rather low. try to clean it, make sure the spring is strong enough, so there can be no other damage.
for removal: first try a really good socket, if that doesn work, try a hot/smoldering large screwdriver to create a new recess
