NitroMax introduces himself

Hi,
First of all: excuse me for writing in English  Although I live in die Niederlande and can perfectly read German ( but dó sometimes have difficulties with the technical translations ), my written German is very bad and wouldn't make any sense ;)

You can however answer in German, no problem.

I have used this Forum very often already and thought it would be decent to introduce myself after registering yesterday so I can see all the attached pictures on the is forum.

I am 52 years of age ( but nót old ;) ), ride a motorcycle for everyday use ( rain, sun, snow, wind ) which is a Korean Hyosung Comet 650, a very cheap and nice bike with over 42.000 km on it in about 5 years ( during which time I have washed it only once  )
My other bikes are:

- a 217 Nm/207 Hp Nitrous injected 1300 cc VMax
- a 1200 cc Kawasaki Z1000 from 1976 ( dragracer with kennzeichen )
- a selfbuilt Honda CB 750 chopper
- a 500 cc BSA chopper from 1950, built to a chopper in 1983 in England.

You can see these toys ( and many more, some of which are already sold again ) on http://www.nitromax.nl

The reason I'm on a MZ-Forum is because I recently purchased a 251 with 300 cc MZ with SE sidecar and want ( and sometimes nééd ) information ;)
Part reason for this purchase is that -because of riding everyday- I kissed the tarmac a couple of weeks ago when it was snowing, couldn't get grip on the Hyosung and think 3 wheels would be a better idea.
The reason for buying an MZ-gespann? Cheap ! ;)

I have already replaced the clutch and replaced the worn out standard carb for a Bing, which I'm still tuning ( with great help from your Forum, thanks for that !! )

Next plans are change of wheels ( 16/15 ) and "Ed Pols" yokes ( reducing "nachlauf" :? )

Of course I'm also a member of the Dutch/Belgium MZ-Forum ;)

Some pics:

and a pic of me testing the width of the contraption ( caught on my securitycamera ;) ):

and a short movie of my first ride ;) :

Well, enough for an introduction, be prepared for loads of technical questions from my side

Well, first of all:
welcome to the german MZ forum.
You will see, we´re a bunch of guys and girls who all have some language problems (we can´t say "NO" if a nice bike is offered to us...)
By the way: Nice set of three wheels you have there. It´s a good choice, especially with 300cc. :gut:
Best regards from Herford

Jan

Danke fur alle "Willkommen" ;)

I am now in process of tuning the Bing.
I read on this Forum about putting in a 130 Düse, but I only have a 128 as biggest Düse. I put that in and put the nadel in the lowest setting
( so upper ring ), but it still does go down in revs at about 80 km/st
Not as bad as when I had the nadel on the 2nd ring from the top.
I tried the original 118 Düse but got a "knellen" ( :? )

I'll keep trying and checking your topics on Bingadjustment ;)

I might even start my own topic on that to keep this one clean ;)

found this thread a lot on the late side but thought i'd say welcome regardless. love the phonetic t-shirt. as i'm sure you'll have discovered, the vast majority of the sites members are probably happy to try and allot time to retrieving meaning out of what you type, irrespective of the chosen language. my german is quite shot and what little i had is out of practice, but theres people who get a kick out of reading that someone is loving their MZ irrespective of how garbled the message. i try predominantly on site to type in deutsch as best as i can, and if you can handle the odd giggle from someone in the background here and there you'll exponentially broaden your audience. english works too i suppose so as i'm sure you will, just do what you feel.

cheers, glen.
