Urgent Spulenkasten und Hexennase!

Good afternoon everyone!

I am desperately trying to find a regenerated Spulenkasten and a Hexennase rear light for my 1954 RT. Here in the UK they impossible to find so Germany is the logical choice. Does anyone have them to sell or does anyone know where I can get the taillight and Spulenkasten (or get it regenerated)? I know they are expensive but I am very happy to pay the correct prices!

These two items are the only things stopping me from riding my beautiful DDR motorcycle!

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I’m not 100% sure if it is the correct taillight but it looks so much neater than the oval one!

I think I’ll purchase one. All I need now is a SpulenKasten (nobody ever said regenerating an oldtimer motorcycle was easy!)

Perhaps you can regenerate a Spulenkasten by yourself. Herein in the Forum you will find instructions. The instructions are in German language but perhaps an online translation program may.

Ralle provides an excellent instruction in his signature to regenerate the ignition lock with pictures. Lothar provides in his signature a compendium concerning the Electric of MZ-motorcycles including a chapter how to test the Laderegler.

The other electrical contacts in the Spulenkasten needs to be cleaned and the ignition coil often needs to be replaced.
