Welches ist korrekt?

Guten Morgen allerseits!

Mein schöner IFA RT125 / 1 aus dem Jahr 1954 lädt den Akku immer noch nicht auf, aber ich habe jetzt zwei verschiedene Schaltpläne gefunden und möchte wissen, welcher richtig ist.
Die erste zeigt DF (schwarz) und Masse (brun) an jedem Ende der Feldspulen, wobei eine Kohlebürste Masse und die andere D + (rot) aufweist.
und 1 (grün) zum Kondensator.

Die zweite zeigt DF (schwarz) und D + (rot) an jedem Ende der Feldspulen, wobei eine Kohlebürste an Masse und die andere an Masse in der Spulenkiste mit 1 (grün) an den Kondensator und einem Draht von D + an D + an die Spoolbox

Ich habe Google Übersetzer verwendet, um dies zu schreiben, daher hoffe ich, dass es lesbar ist (viele Entschuldigungen, wenn es schwer zu lesen ist!)

Kann mir bitte jemand helfen?

think it is the best you take a pic (or more) of the dynamo with wiring and show it here. Then the mistake is better to find.

du findest das korrekte Schaltbild (Version: Erreger-Feld-Widerstand NICHT in der LiMa) über diesen Link:

Was die LiMas betrifft, so sind sie bei der /1 und /2 identisch.
Vergewissere dich, dass du keinen Erreger-Feld-Widerstand auf der LiMa hast.

Concerning the generator the /1 and the /2 have similar electric schemes.
Be sure you find NO field coil resistor inside your generator housing.

Hi there!

I have got a pair of pictures but I do not know how to post them! I have checked the link that Lothar posted and I have wired my RT in the same way.

When I purchased a wiring loom from DDR-Motorrad.de, the diagram showed a wire linking both of the D+ terminals in the spoolbox, but on the picture on the link ( from the official handbook) shows no wire linking the D+ terminals. Which one is correct?

Both wiring diagrams you´ve posted are identic - see yourself. But they are wrong for sure.
Look on the coal brushes: The first is connected to ground, the second to M - also ground.
This doesn´t give any sense.

Beside that the schematic shows an unusual so-called minus-regulated generator.
RTs are - so far we know - plus-regulated (we didn´t find a reliable proof that
minus-regulated generators were even used in RTs).

The RT/0 has the same generator wiring as the /1, too. See

This is an internal connection in the coil box. So some diagrams show it others don´t.
The attached /0 diagram should correspond precisely to your RT/1.

Lothar, the schematic in Neil's dynamo_wiring.jpg are wrong, but the colors and the markings of the clamps are correct.

green -> 1
brown -> ground
black -> DF
red -> D+

So if he wires the colors like that it should still work, even though the diagram is wrong in the generator's internal details.

Good morning everyone!

After looking at the schematic, I realise soap is correct. Luckily, I didn’t use this diagram to rewire my RT. My wiring corresponds exactly with the official schematic in the IFA book. I think the moral of all this is......Use the official literature as the people at the factory definitely knew what they were doing!

As my battery still isn’t charging, I think I’ll have to test the field coils and armature (I’ve tested everything else!)
